This version (20041KIT) offers the option of hand-held use (3.0x magnification) or adaptation to a rifle via the included weapon mount and long eye relief eyepiece (1.5x magnification). Since the NVMT does not have a built-in aiming reticle, an optional Red Dot Laser Sight can be attached to the scope mount to act as an aiming mark or you can use a barrel-mounted Red Dot Laser.
